Welcome and thanks for stopping by Ocean Wildlife Art!
This site represents a unique collection of underwater wildlife, seascapes and ocean themed fine art by Ocean Artist Brent Bauer.
Brent has completed thousands of dives ranging from the rock quarries of Indiana, to the great lakes, Caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific oceans and the Mediterranean sea.
His life long interest in the sciences and art has combined to create his personal view, from the diver’s eye, into the underwater world based own his own experiences and decades of underwater photography. Brent Bauer is a member of the prestigious Ocean Artists Society and holds an undergraduate degree in the Biological Sciences, a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Medical and Biological Illustration, and is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. This combination of experience has given Brent a firm foundation in creating his own personal view of the underwater world from the eye of a diver with scientific accuracy and creative realism.
Understanding what the diver sees and experiences is crucial to his message. The light, depth, and creatures encountered in the depths of his paintings are immediately recognized by the others that have been there, and unlike photography alone, can create an expanded view of the moment. Through his experiences he can also present to the viewer those ideas and experiences to those who have not or cannot visit them directly. This awareness can only serve to help preserve and record for the future the spectacular pageantry of Ocean Wildlife.
The Gallery that follows represents a sample of the finished paintings of Brent Bauer. The paintings are available as one of a kind originals, or in multiple prints of various sizes and surfaces such as paper, canvas, aluminum. Prices are based on size, surface, or quantity. The images can also be licensed to be used on advertising and image enhancement of your company or organization. Commissions of custom art for personal collection, or business use is also available.
Brent Bauer and Ocean Wildlife Art is located in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina, USA, represented in Myrtle Beach at Waccamaw Boulevard Gallery Art and Frame, and in the Cayman Islands at Pure Art Gallery near Georgetown.
